This summer has been really busy: we’ve been involved with mission teams, a project to distribute water with an evangelical message and preparations for the church’s 10th anniversary celebrations at the beginning of September. But by far the most anticipated activity this summer was the youth camp. Our original plan as a church was to go on camp at the beginning of July but due to limited finances and wedding season here in Kosova we had to push the dates back to the end of August. Last weekend we went with the Youth of the church for the second year in a row to clean up the park area near to our church. You can see the pictures and read about this initiative from last year in our blog post Ta Pastrojmë Gjakovën – Clean Up Gjakovë. Last year we collected 8 sacks of rubbish from a small area just across the road from our church and this year we collected 7 so there is perhaps a gradual improvement taking place.

Every now and again it’s good to take the church outside the building and spend time in fellowship somewhere different. The Youth Ministry is no exception and, because some of the boys were occupied with the inter-church football tournament the number of young people was diminished. Today, as part of the Youth Ministry of our Church, Rebirth of Kosova, we worked with the Youth to clean up Gjakovë. Continue reading “Ta Pastrojmë Gjakovën – Clean Up Gjakova”
We took over leading one of the Youth Cell Groups at church at the end of February and we asked for prayers to bond well with the group and for them to grow in confidence speaking English with us, using and building on what they have already learned at school and in private courses. Continue reading “Youth Cell Group and Kosovapoly”
After the busy Easter weekend there was no time to rest for Ilir who went with six other young guys from the church to play in a special football tournament organised by Scripture Union and held in the capital, Prishtina. Continue reading “Easter Monday Football Tournament”
Today we finished a two week study on the life of Joseph (Genesis 37-50) with our youth cell group. Continue reading “Youth Cell Group – The life of Joseph”
