Yesterday was a special day for Rebirth of Kosova Church as we celebrated with 9 new believers on the day of their baptism. It was an especially significant day for the church as 4 of the 9 people being baptised are from the new church plant in Klina. Continue reading “Baptisms”
In May this year we were visited by friends and former colleagues from the UK. During that week we visited the city to pray for the call on our church to plant a church in Klinë, specifically for God to show us the right place to rent for the church plant and for the gospel message to be heard there.
After several months of prayer and visits to Klinë we finally agreed to rent a small shop opposite a primary school in order to start the church ministry and English course. Continue reading “Church Plant Klinë”
One of our favourite parts of being members of Kisha Rilindja e Kosovës (Rebirth of Kosova Church) is that we get to meet people from all over the world who have the same desire and passion to see the church in Kosova grow as we do. Throughout the year we get requests as a church to host teams from other countries for conferences or outreach projects.
In August we hosted a team from Italy who were in Kosova for the first time as part of Tour Giallo, or “Yellow Tour”. The team were from a large church in Milan, Italy and many of them are students of the Church’s own Bible school. Tour Giallo is an evangelism project to reach people throughout Europe. For about 3 months we have been going with Drita to Vraniq, a village about 6 miles (10 km) from Gjakovë. The purpose for these visits is to teach English, help with homework and evangelise to the families that live there. Continue reading “House Ministry in Vraniq”
For two days at the end of August we for a Couples’ Retreat up in the mountains in Rugovë, which is just West of the city of Peja and very close to the border with Montenegro. We were just one of seven couples from our church, Rebirth of Kosova, that made the two hour journey to this stunning location for the retreat.
Our time was spent in worship and fellowship with the other couples and discussing the importance of marriage from a Christian perspective.

It has been two months since our church had to leave the building we had been using for several years, and after a long wait we finally had our first service in the church’s new building on 3rd July.

It has been a whirlwind couple of weeks for Rebirth of Kosova Church. You may remember reading our post Rebirth of Kosova is moving! about how, due to the issues we were having with our old building, we had made the decision to move to a new building. We also appealed for your support to cover the increased cost of the rent at the new building and we would like to encourage you to pray and share our fundraising page so that we can raise the remainder of the funds we need https://crowdfunding.justgiving.com/rokrent Continue reading “A time of transition”
Thank you for praying for the situation with the stairs and balcony to enter the church. We have heard this morning that the municipality have granted us an extension to the deadline to remove the stairs and balcony while we find an alternative way to enter the church. Praise God!
Please continue to pray that we will find a solution to the issue before the new deadline and that it will not adversely affect attendance at the church or trade at King’s Cafe.
We’d like to share with you an urgent prayer request regarding our church here.
Last week we had a visit from the municipality inspectors who told us that the stairs and balcony that serve as our entrance to the church and cafe are illegally built and we have until tomorrow to take them down.
These stairs are the only way we can get into our building at the moment (we are on the first floor above some shops) and if these stairs are removed we will have to find another way in or find another place for the church.
Our Pastor, Jeton, is meeting with municipality officials and the landlord today to request an alternative course of action.
What to pray:
1. For God’s favour in the meeting today.
2. To find a way to legalize the stairs and the balcony or special permission to use them from the municipality
3. Favor with the inspectors/officials so we could have a longer deadline before removing the steps.
We were involved in running a Youth Camp this summer for all the youth that attend meetings and groups at the church. This video gives an overview of the activities.
