This year has flown by so quickly! One of the first things we were involved in when we started serving with the church full-time was renovate and open King’s Café.
1st April was the official anniversary of opening the cafe and we held a special celebration party on 4th April. Around 40 people came to share fellowship together with a few drinks, nibbles, music and dancing, and to thank all those who have been involved in making the cafe a success over the past year. We are very thankful to Adhurim, Çlirim and Florian who work in the cafe regularly as well as others (too many to name individually) who have stepped in to serve customers, done DIY work or helped in other ways to make sure the cafe operates.
The goal of the cafe is for it to be a place where local Christians can meet and share fellowship. To be somewhere where people can get a good cup of coffee, friendly service and perhaps even a small cake. To be a safe environment where believers can express their faith and for non-believers to witness Christians living their faith. The cafe has been used over the past year for both church and private parties, youth meetings, cell groups, Bible studies, prayer meetings, thanksgiving lunch as well as functioning day-to-day as a business.
We are extremely thankful to God for His provision over the past year and for His goodness to us and the church through the cafe.
